Zaha Hadid
Dichotomy
Zaha Hadid, founder of Zaha Hadid Architects, was awarded the Pritzker Architecture prize (considered to be the Nobel Prize of architecture) in 2004 and is internationally known for her constructed, theoretical and academic work. Her projects build on over thirty years of revolutionary exploration and research in the fields of urbanism, architecture and design. Working with senior office partner Patrik Schumacher, Hadid’s interest lies in the interface between architecture, landscape and geology. She received the prestigious ‘Praemium Imperial’ from the Japan Art Association in 2009 and the Stirling Prize in 2010 and 2011 from the Royal Institute of British Architects.
