Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Jill Berelowitz studied sculpture, at the Johannesburg School of Art. She moved to London 27 years ago and is one of the capital’s most innovative sculptors, known for her bronze, steel and optical resin works. Jill has exhibited at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, at Christie’s, and on Cork Street. Her high-profile commissions include the life-size Pair Oar rowers at Henley-on-Thames and Core Femme in Cavendish Square for the Westminster City of Sculpture Festival. Jill creates work focused on the human form and regeneration wherein bodies are simultaneously solid and abstracted, dynamic and fixed.
