Karen Hollis creates floral paintings that are bold and fluid, using strong form and line with a highly perceptive and painterly representation of light and shade casting across and around each flower head. Karen’s formal training as a graphic designer and initial career with the BBC led her to discover the world of digital design and animation. Since then Karen has built a successful independent London business using the latest technology to develop her creativity. Recently Karen returned to the joy of working in traditional media, particularly oils, and now uses this medium to represent the beauty and luxuriousness of flowers.
