About the Egg
Jan Dunning (b.1975) is a photographic artist based in London. She graduated from Central St Martin’s College of Art and Design. Best known for her pinhole photography, Dunning’s images are influenced by mythology, magic realism and fairy tale, testing the boundaries between fiction and reality, the possible and the impossible, the natural and the unnatural.
Recent exhibitions and awards include: “Perceived Realities”, London Art Fair (2013); “Construction Works”, Troika Editions, London (2012); Magenta Foundation Flash Forward Award for emerging photography (2010); “Artificial Realities”, Black and White Gallery, New York (2009); “Secrets”, Nichido Contemporary Art, Tokyo (2006).
