Sophie Conran is the only daughter of designer and restaurateur Sir Terence Conran and food writer Caroline Conran. Mother of two, Sophie has designed a wide range of products from fashion to homewares, as well as being an accomplished cook who has turned her love of both cooking and the home into her career with two published cookbooks, “Sophie Conran’s Pies” and “Soups & Stews”. Sophie has written on food & entertaining for many UK titles including InStyle, House Beautiful and Living etc and has been a contributing editor for Junior Magazine since 2006, with a 2-page Food and Drink column. 2006 saw the launch of the award-winning Sophie Conran for Portmeirion collection of kitchen, glass and tableware, which now includes storage, candles and a bathroom range and is available in 7 colours. In 2008 Sophie began a collaboration with UK wallpaper company Arthouse to create exclusive collections of
wallpapers for B&Q and a pattern book of designer wallpapers. Sophie also has a range of cutlery with British manufacturer Arthur Price and a range of Garden tools and games with British manufacturer Burgon & Ball. In 2009 Sophie launched Sophie Conran for Temple Guiting, an exclusive venue for bespoke country house parties in the Cotswolds. 2012 will see the launch of a new lighting range with John Lewis and a carpet range with Axminster carpets.
